Military Receive Entrepreneurial Support—
VBOC’s SBA Funding Continued

Pensacola, FL – Returning Veterans of Afghanistan, Iraq and other military outposts in-country or around the world have made un-told contributions and sacrifices for the United States. When they return, their welcome is both productive and positive if they test their American Dream with the Veterans Business Outreach Center’s (VBOC) certified business analysts at the Small Business Development Center at Gulf Coast Community College (SBDC at GCCC) in Panama City. The VBOC outreach covers the eight southeastern states of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South and North Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky. Fortunately, for the veteran, the center is partnered with other SBDCs in those states and utilizes internet, video conferencing and other technology so that proximity is not a necessity.

VBOC offers a great deal of free support for Veterans, from basic entrepreneurial education and training to opportunities for government contracting and accessing capital.  The critical tools they need are available to assist them to the next level of their dream, to drive economic growth and help them create jobs.

The VBOC provides services including outreach, assessment, long- and short-range business training, free confidential counseling, on-line assistance and other technical assistance services. Services are available for Veterans, service disabled veterans and military reservists who are business owners or entrepreneurs who wish to own their business—their piece of the American Dream. Whether you are in Florida or in one of the other southeastern states, contact Brent Peacock at brentpeacock@vboc.org or check out the VBOC website at www.vboc.org.

VBOC is one of the many specialized programs of the Florida SBDC Network and its 35 offices that serve the Florida business community.  From procurement specialists to business continuity and disaster preparedness to business technology commercialization, the Florida SBDCs have the services you need to start, grow and succeed in business.
